    Expert Exam Preparation Tips

Our tutors share the strategies that help our students achieve a 98% pass rate.

    Study the Syllabus Thoroughly

CIPS exams are directly mapped to the syllabus. Every question tests specific learning outcomes. Read the syllabus guide before starting your preparation.

    Practice with Past Papers

Past papers reveal the question style, depth expected, and time allocation. We provide extensive past paper practice with model answers and tutor feedback.

    Master Time Management

Especially for essay-based exams (L5-6), allocate time per question before starting. Leave 5 minutes for review. Practice timed conditions during preparation.

    Structure Your Answers

For written exams, use clear structure: introduction, main body with headings, and conclusion. Use CIPS terminology and reference frameworks where appropriate.

    Use Multiple Resources

Combine our training materials with CIPS study guides, textbooks, and online resources. Different perspectives deepen your understanding of complex topics.

    Attend Revision Workshops

Our revision workshops focus on exam technique, common mistakes, and targeted practice. Students who attend revision sessions have significantly higher pass rates.

    • Scheduled exam windows throughout the year
    • No personal equipment required
    • Supervised by trained invigilators

    Exam FAQs

What is the CIPS exam format?
CIPS exam formats vary by level. Levels 2-3 use objective response (multiple choice). Level 4 uses a mix of multiple choice and short answer. Levels 5-6 use written response (essay and case study based). Duration ranges from 60 minutes to 3 hours.
How hard is the CIPS exam?
CIPS exams are professionally challenging but achievable with proper preparation. Our students achieve a 98% pass rate thanks to comprehensive study support, mock exams, past paper practice, and expert tutoring.
Can I take CIPS exams online from Dubai?
Yes. CIPS offers remote proctored exams you can take from home or office. You need a computer with webcam, stable internet, and a quiet environment. Computer-based testing is also available at approved centres in Dubai.
What happens if I fail a CIPS exam?
You can resit the exam at the next available window (typically after 30 days for Levels 2-3, or at the next exam sitting for Levels 4-6). A resit fee applies. We provide additional preparation support for resit candidates at no extra charge.
How often are CIPS exams held?
CIPS exams are available throughout the year for Levels 2-3 (computer-based). Levels 4-6 have scheduled exam windows, typically January, March, May, July, September, and November.
What score do I need to pass?
Levels 2-3 require 70% to pass. Levels 4-6 require 50%, but these are criterion-referenced against learning outcomes, making them challenging despite the lower percentage threshold.
How long until I receive my results?
Results for computer-based exams (Levels 2-3) are typically available within 2-4 weeks. Written exam results (Levels 4-6) take 6-8 weeks as they require manual marking by CIPS examiners.
Are CIPS exam results valid forever?
Individual module results don't expire, but you must complete all modules within your level within a reasonable timeframe (typically 5 years). Contact CIPS directly for specific policies on result validity.
